invited Qi & Gong are Chinese words for Energy & Cultivation. Qigong works with living energy within the body. The goal of Qigong is to reach a balance or Wu Ji (without extremes) and is an ancient form of self-healing practiced in China for at least the last 7000 years. Though rooted in the martial arts, Qigong techniques are completely relaxed and can be practiced by people of all ages and fitness levels to achieve good health and well being. Qigong can work in harmony with medical treatment to facilitate improved health status as the practitioner's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energies come into balance and a high level of body relaxation, calmness and peace of mind is achieved. Sifu Quang Lam shows participants how to cultivate Qi (energy) through breathing, mind (intention), posture or movement, and sound and how to recharge their energy by including Qigong in their morning self-care routines and daily activities. This includes how to perform massage & bodywork from a centered and balanced place using proper movements and alignments that are easier on the practitioner and bring more benefit to their client. The course is intended for participant self-care. It is not intended to teach therapists to teach their clients. Demonstration and practice
